Evolution of the sources of gas supplied to the EU-27 in 2021 vs 2020

This graph shows the evolution of the origin of natural gas supplied to the EU27 between 2021 and 2020, for the main producing countries.

The European supply diversification policy has led the EU-27 to seek new sources of natural gas. Imports have been stopped from Iran but there is strong growth in LNG imports from Peru (+225%) and Algeria (+42%). Russia remains the largest exporter of natural gas to Europe despite a 19% decrease.
